What warranty do I have in the Netherlands?

Short answer

In the Netherlands your Qvantum heat pump has 2 years of warranty as standard. It is extended by 3 years, to 5 years, if the heat pump stays online and the other conditions are met. Contact your installer first.

Applies to: all Qvantum heat pumps for homes, delivered and installed in the Netherlands. Other countries have different terms.

What is included

  • 2 years of warranty as standard on faults in the design, material or manufacturing of the heat pump and of accessories supplied by Qvantum.
  • The warranty starts on the installation date. It starts at the latest 6 months after Qvantum delivered the heat pump.
  • 3 extra years, so 5 years in total, when all of these conditions are met:
    1. A Qvantum-certified installer starts up the heat pump for the first time (this is called commissioning).
    2. Your installer registers the heat pump online with Qvantum within 1 month of installation.
    3. The heat pump stays online. The router with SIM card that came with the heat pump must stay connected. Qvantum uses it to read, manage and update the heat pump remotely.
    4. Maintenance and repairs are done by a Qvantum-certified partner, with original parts.

If one of these conditions is not met, you keep the standard 2 years. This also applies if the router is removed or the heat pump has no stable internet connection.

What is not included

  • Normal wear, and parts that wear out by use, such as filters.
  • Damage caused by wrong installation, wrong use, changes to the heat pump, or water in the heating system that is not suitable.
  • Pipes, electrical installation and other parts that Qvantum did not supply.
  • Repairs by someone who is not a Qvantum-certified partner, or with parts that are not original.
  • A service visit where no fault is found.

How to do it

  1. Note what the display shows, for example an alarm code, and take a photo of the display.
  2. Find the serial number on the display under device information, or in the Qvantum app under Product information.
  3. Contact your installer and give the serial number, the alarm code and the photo.
  4. Your installer checks the fault and reports it to Qvantum. Your installer does this, not you: Qvantum works through installers, and only the installer can make a warranty claim with Qvantum.

Your heat pump does not need maintenance every year. Qvantum advises a service visit around year 3, 7, 11 and 14. A Qvantum service contract adds 24/7 help with faults, and repairs at your home including the labour. Ask your installer or Qvantum Nederland about it.

Market differences

This article is for the Netherlands only. In other countries the warranty length and conditions are different. If you do not know which installer installed your heat pump, or your installer can no longer help you, contact Qvantum Nederland.
