How to Set Hot Water Schedules in the App

Create time blocks to heat water when electricity is cheapest or when you need it most

Setting hot water time schedules

The Qvantum app lets you create time-based schedules for hot water production. This is useful for:

  • Pre-heating water before peak usage (morning showers, evening baths)
  • Taking advantage of cheap electricity hours
  • Reducing electricity use during expensive peak hours

How to create a schedule

  1. Open the Qvantum app and go to Settings → Hot Water (or "Tap Water").
  2. Tap Add time block.
  3. Select the start time and end time.
  4. Choose the hot water demand level (e.g. Normal, High, or Boost).
  5. Tap Save.

Adding multiple time blocks

You can add more than one time block per day. Each block should have a non-overlapping time range.

Tip: If you want both a morning block and an evening block, add them as two separate entries. The overview will show both.

Viewing your active schedules

To see all active time blocks, go to Settings → Hot Water → Schedule overview. Note: on some app versions, you may need to swipe between intervals manually to see all of them.

What happens between scheduled blocks?

Outside of your scheduled blocks, the heat pump follows its default hot water maintenance mode — keeping the tank at a minimum set temperature to avoid legionella risk while minimising energy use.

Troubleshooting: block not showing in overview

If a second time block doesn't appear in the overview, try closing and reopening the app, or check that the two blocks don't overlap.
