Does My Qvantum Heat Pump Support Cooling?

Which Qvantum models support active cooling and how to use it

Cooling with your Qvantum heat pump

Some Qvantum heat pump models support active cooling in addition to heating. Here's what you need to know.

Which models support cooling?

  • QE series — Supports active cooling (reversible refrigeration cycle)
  • QA series — Supports active cooling
  • QH series — Heating only (no active cooling)
  • QS (supply air module) — Works in combination with QE for cooling

Check your product documentation or the app to confirm whether your specific model and installation supports cooling.

Requirements for cooling

  • Your heating distribution system (underfloor heating or fan coil units) must be compatible with cooling — standard radiators are not suitable for cooling
  • Cooling must have been enabled during commissioning
  • The app must show a cooling option in the settings

How to activate cooling mode

  1. Open the Qvantum app and go to Settings → Climate.
  2. If cooling is available for your installation, you'll see a Cooling toggle or mode selector.
  3. Set the desired indoor temperature for cooling.
  4. The heat pump will switch to cooling mode and circulate cooled water through your distribution system.

Cooling not available in the app?

If you don't see a cooling option, it may not have been configured during installation. Contact your installer or Qvantum support to check if your installation supports it.
